湯田上温泉 Yutagami hot spring 田上町
A hot spring that gushes out at the foot of Mt. Gomado, and it is said that this is the origin of Yutagami Onsen, which was once called Mt. Mitsui, but was renamed Mt. Gomado after the ascetics who practiced asceticism here burned gomas to heal themselves. The locals call it "Yakushi no Yu," and it is said that if you soak in the hot spring on the day of the Ox of Doyo, you will live a year of good health and happiness. |
